Step by Step Guide
- Open your web browser and go to www.ilovepdf.com
- Scroll down and look for “Unlock PDF” with a blue padlock sign
- Click on “Unlock PDF” and click “Select PDF File”
- The explorer window will open, this is where you locate the pdf you want to upload and unlock
- in iLovePDF click on the red “Unlock PDF” button at the bottom right of the page
- Once complete click on the “Download unlocked PDFs” button
- If the site asks for a password then it was unsuccessful in unlocking your file, if you have the password then enter the password and then download.
How does this work???
iLovePDF when unlocking, tries a dictionary attack on the pdf to unlock it, i.e. it goes through all the words in the dictionary as passwords to unlock the pdf file until it finds a match.
